Takht-e Jamshid [Persepolis, Shiraz, Iran] 5

Steps that lead to the terrace of Takht-e Jamshid (which translates to "throne of Jamshid"). Takht-e Jamshid is known in the Western World as Persepolis. It is located in Shiraz, Iran, and it is a remnant of the former magnificent capital of the ancient Achaemenid Empire.

Note that the steps are very short, especially relative to modern standards for human use. This is because these stairs were designed for use, not by humans, but by horses - in particular horses of the royal cadre.
