CATHEDRAL CITY, California -- Gaz, also known as Persian nougat, originates from Isfahan, Iran. The nougat is traditionally made with almonds or pistachios.
Our team had the recent pleasure of trying a box (tin) of gaz, hand-carried from Iran. The tin is from Mohammad Saedinia, and it features gaz the exact way we prefer it: packaged in flour.
Gaz is one of the most delicious, most addicting desserts we've ever had. This version was made with almonds.

We couldn’t wait to open the tin and see inside.
The taste was well worth the wait!
Thank you, Behnaz and Abi, for this special treat! And for our viewers, enjoy our pictorial journey through this delicious tin!
